Mykonos is known to be a party island with spectacular beaches and beautiful people. The San Marco is a civilized gem on the northwest coast. You are out of the hustle and bustle, yet with their complimentary shuttle running every few hours will be in the main town in 15 minutes. The hotel staff, from the drivers, to the chambermaids and bartenders are wonderful and helpful. But most importantly to me… real and sincere, is the amazing manager Michael who sees to the comfort and well being of every guest, no matter how demanding. The views from the location are over the sea. The sound from automobiles is non- existent. The food was wonderful. They have an extensive breakfast buffet and we had dinner in the restaurant overlooking the sea. Watching the sunset We also ate in town and honestly, I think you would be crazy to not eat here at the San Marco. Dinner was wonderfully Mediterranean, with quality ingredients.. and generous portions. The pool area is lovely with an accompanying view… and family friendly. I personally am happy to say it was largely occupied by European families.. with quiet and respectful children. The property gives me a feel of certain parts of California and Hawaii in terms of terrain, avg temperature.. and (TG) low or no humidity as well as some palm trees and desert foliage. I saw a chamber maid cleaning the windows!!! Really??? How wow is that?! I was chatting with different guests, at different parts of the hotel (restaurant, pool, bar) to find that they were not only repeat guests… but were staying multiple weeks at a time. Here at this establishment , you can have everything or nothing. No pressure to do anything. But if you choose, they will book anything you want from autos to ferry rides to Delos or a visit to other beaches. The general feeling is if you love Mykonos, but have matured and have a desire for a slice of Greek heaven.. without the “ in your face” tourist congestion… San Marco is the place.

As a family friendly hotel in Mykonos, the San Marco Hotel gets top marks! The location is perfect - a bit distant from the hustle and bustle and the noise but close enough to Mykonos Town which is a 15 minute bus ride. The hotel offers this service as a complimentary one which is really good - so top marks. And the salt water pool is a bonus. Special shout out to Michel Chrysakis who runs the hotel with empathy and passion to do the best for the guests. And also a big shout out to Vicky from the hotel reservation team who kept in touch with me before arrival to make sure our needs were catered for. And to the big man himself - Mr. Tsakanikas who owns the hotel and is still active in terms of its upkeep and attention to detail. I saw the passion personally and you couldn’t help but get the feeling that the hotel is one of his children :-) Keep up the great work in making San Marco welcoming to one and all.

Our stay at San Marco Luxury Hotel and Villas in Mykonos was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel truly deserves its five-star rating. The staff were not only helpful but also incredibly welcoming and warm, making us feel at home from the moment I arrived. The facilities were outstanding, with the hotel being clean and offering stunning views. The breakfast provided a good variety of options, and the dinner at the hotel's restaurant was just as good. Additionally, the hotel’s bus service to and from the town and beach was excellent, making it easy to get in and out of town. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking luxury and comfort in Mykonos.

Lovely! That is the word to describe the San Marco. We met family here for a night and had a quintessential Greek island experience. Quiet location outside of town, yet 15 minutes away by car if you want the nightlife and Mykonos shopping experience. (they also have a free shuttle to town!!) The room was lovely and the views from everywhere on the property are incomparable. The breakfast buffet and dinner were fantastic! (see picture - I love taking food photos!) Michael, Sofia, Dimitri and Kosta went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. We will be back next year!

We had a fabulous stay at the San Marco Hotel. The staff was always friendly, the room was spacious and had a large balcony with a sea view, and the hotel was clean and maintained nicely. The buffet breakfast was plentiful, and the food was always excellent. The hotel is close enough to town to get there in 7-8 minutes but removed enough to relax and enjoy without the hustle of the main town. They offered a free shuttle bus to town that ran all day. Overall, we had an amazing stay the San Marco Hotel.
